Where did you learn your
skills?
I became involved
in woodworking when I was seventeen years
old. At the same time as I began to pick up
woodworking as a hobby I began to think
about a college education. I chose to study
woodworking at Northern Michigan University
and that is where I currently work as an
artist. Being in an academic environment, I
am constantly surrounded by fresh concepts
and work close to a large variety of
artists.
I am an adaptable and growing artist
that currently creates sculptural artifacts that may function
for utility or visual experience.
I am currently a student at Northern
Michigan University receiving a BFA in Art and Design with my
concentration in woodworking.
Where do you get your
inspiration from?
I am inspired and
influenced from all areas of my life. I
attempt to be always in flux and able to
adapt to and experience new concepts and
situations. Comfortability I like to keep as
an occasion rather than a permanent state.
Through humility and curiosity, I am able to
grow as an artist.
