We are a husband and wife team that do
all the designs and creating, ourselves at our NM home. We work
with all types of woods, from exotics, to burls to domestic
hardwoods. We can create a design for you or use your design
ideas. We stand behind all our work and take pride in knowing
that your special heirloom piece will last for generations.
How many years have you been
woodworking? 26 years total 8 of them full time
Where did you learn your
skills?
Scott took woodshop
in high school for a few years. He is mostly
self taught but did take two classes with
Sam Maloof and one with David Marks.
Where do you get your
inspiration from?
The inspiration
comes from taking beautiful pieces of wood
and creating something artistic and
functional. Being able to shape and mold the
wood into heirloom pieces that will be
passed down for generations is truly
inspiring.
What Furniture styles/periods do you work in?
We work with most
styles, but contemporary is what we mainly
do.
What differentiates your work?
Our work
incorporates a lot of hand shaping and
carving techniques. We like how a piece
artistically looks and feels when areas are
hand shaped, such as the arms, headrest and
where the joints meet. Adding touches like
carved dog-ears and other unique "One of a
kind" elements makes a piece all that more
special.
