Years of experience:
+30 years of woodworking experience.
Where did you learn your
skills?
I started by taking
classes in school. I learned the tried and
true centuries old techniques by buying
broken antiques and then taking them apart,
making new pieces to replace the broken ones
and then rebuilding the furniture.
Where do you get your
inspiration from?
I get my ideas from
places I go, television shows, customers,
books and visualizing what a piece might
look like.
What Furniture styles/periods do you work in?
Most of the furniture I make is from the
Mission and Arts and Crafts, Queen Anne,
Shaker and the Art Deco styles. The modern
and contemporary furniture I make gets much
of its inspiration from the Shaker and Art
Deco styles.

What differentiates my
work.
Everything I make is a one of a kind
piece of furniture. The ideas for each piece of furniture comes
from a collaboration between the customer and myself. I use
mortise and tenon and dovetail joinery and hand apply all
finishes.
