My work received the award for Best in Show for Body of Work in a traditional style at the first Milwaukee
Fine Furnishings Show held in 2006.
A custom furniture maker from of Ypsilanti, Michigan, I operate Woodward
Woodworks where I build pieces for the home, office and liturgical works. My designs are marked by creative use of inlays, carvings,
complimentary combinations of woods, veneers and occasional brass detailing. My work encompasses large scale pieces such as wall to wall
bookcases, media centers, fireplace mantles and architectural pieces, as well as tables, desks, cabinets, beds, mirror frames and music
stands.
My designs are built according to client needs with full functionality, individuality and distinction.
Commissioning Custom Furniture is a straightforward but thoughtful process involving you the customer and me the craftsman.
You may know exactly what you want or you may have a general idea of what you are looking for but the style,
function shape and design are still floating around and need to to be harnessed. In either case I am at your service and will take every
opportunity to understand your furniture needs.
I have done work for individual clients, businesses and churches.
If you are interested in discussing
the design and building of a project or piece of furniture please contact me.
A Note on Pricing: As a custom Furniture maker my prices may not align with items
you may see in a retail store or certainly in a resale/used shop. My prices reflect the time and effort and skill needed to make a
quality piece of furniture that will last. I have designed all but two pieces of the furniture that you'll see on
this site. While most of my designs are "one of a kind" pieces, nearly anything you see on my site could be reproduced
or altered to meet your design and space needs. Please look about my web site at your leisure. Take note of things you like and
let me know what I can make for you.
I appreciate your interest in my work and promise to deliver work that reflects my
attention to detail..
